44/70 of the words in this puzzle are 3-4 letters long, and maybe that's the cost of having such long themed answers. Maybe by crossing them I could get longer down clues. To experiment next time! Learnin today
I also heard the last one had some obscure sections (including some potential Naticks in the region where the two French words cross), so I've tried to match the difficulty to the payoff.
